QATSpect was formed as the initial technology and business focus of SafetySpect Inc. in 2016.

We plan to launch our commercial products in the second half of 2022

Our Goals

Our Team is passionate about creating products based on disruptive hardware and AI-driven software technologies that:

provide real value to commercial customers throughout the commercial food supply chain by addressing unmet needs and pain points.

provide powerful tools to government public health, conservation, and law enforcement officials that help address our impact goals.

will be broadly adopted at scale by commercial customers.

can be applied in both developed and developing economies.

create significant impact and benefit for the environment and society.

reward our investors: we want to ‘do good and do well.

Technology Development History

Our Quality, Authentication, and Traceability (QAT) technology has been developed over the past four years in collaboration with the USDA-ARS and the multiple US and international university R&D collaboration partners, with funding support from government agency grant funding programs, including NOAA.

Potential Spin-Off of the QAT Technology

SafetySpect Inc. is considering spinning off the QAT technology into a separate business, QATSpect, at some point in 2021.

If such a spin-off is implemented, it is anticipated that QATSpect will maintain a transitional services relationship with SafetySpect Inc. for an 18-30 month period of time, sharing management and technical resources and other resources until while a stand-alone team is further developed.
